Enhanced Paediatric Capacity Plan 2026

South western Sydney is experiencing rapid population growth, with the number of children aged younger than 15 years expected to increase by 22% by 2026. Growth is highest in the LGAs of Camden (+11,183 at 58.60% growth), Liverpool (+12,333 at 26.03% growth) and Campbelltown (+9,169 at 25.13% growth).

Together with this increase in the number of children and the current pressure on the specialist Children's Hospitals at Westmead and Randwick, there is a need to develop a plan to deliver more high level, tertiary services within SWSLHD, primarily Campbelltown Hospital but with a district-wide focus.
To support the planning process, the steering committee guiding the planning process is keen to obtain the views of all stakeholders about how the broader health system, local agencies and the community will deliver paediatric services into the future.
A consultation paper providing background information and a brief discussion on possible service development / enhancements is available.
This survey seeks to obtain your views about the current paediatric services available in SWSLHD and what services are needed into the future.
The survey will remain open until Monday 5 June 2017
